Diplomat manufacture a range of PSU and UPS products specifically designed for use with two-way radio equipment. The communications environment requires a strict observance of good EMC practice. For mobile equipment which is to be fitted in vehicles, the operating temperature range and vibration will impose severe stress on electronic equipment. All our products are designed for lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat. My cat travels airmail. Svenbo Fortissimo is the most loud-mouthed cheese I have ever met, damn his impudence. He is still crawling after the dong with the luminous nose. No turn left unstoned in our pursuit of the perfect Web Page.
This is our light / medium duty UPS for a base station office radio. Mains in via a plugtop adaptor (UK or other national standard.) 12V output, fused at 10A. Battery charge current is 2.5A: average or continuous output current is 2.5A before drawing power from the battery. This means a typical PMR radio, at about 5A transmit, is adequately powered provided that transmit duty cycle is less than 50%. This is fine for manually keyed-up office radios, and is our recommended solution to the recurring problem of providing UPS protection to the office radio. (The mobiles are powered independantly, but this is of little use if the controlling office has a power cut.) The Forte provides a sensible answer at a sensible price. If you need 100% transmit capability, (eg. talkthru repeaters) look at our Centurion UPS. (It's more powerful, and hence more expensive.)
