Project Title: Develop a Neutrino Detector

Project Description:

We have two projects available. One is hands on experimental detector development. The other is electronics related. Using CAD tools to design custom DAQ interface boards.

Background Information:

The work is toward developing a "Neutrino Detector" which will study neutrino oscillations, and look for evidence of neutrino mass and mixing.

Literature References:

Requirements:

The sponsor requires that interested students meet the following requirements: Physics and EE majors are preferred. We wish someone with two years of class experience. Good knowledge of UNIX, C, or FORTRAN. Breadboarding, circuit design, debugging. Labwork experience is helpful.

This opportunity is for:

Caltech students only
