Project Title: Sea Urchin Development
Project Description:
The Davidson laboratory studies the molecular biology of sea urchin
development, particularly transcriptional regulation during early
development. There are various projects available in this
area. Usually, the specific project is determined after an interview
with the prospective SURF student and the supervisor. Examples of
projects in the past include: sequencing collections of cDNAs from
activated sea urchin coelomocytes, engineering mutated control regions
in reporter gene constructs, sequencing sea urchin homeodomain genes,
designing and constructing an expression vector plasmoid.
