Both Caltech and Non-Caltech students will be considered

Project Description:

A Caltech SURF '96 position is open at the Jet Propulsion Lab for an undergraduate student. Duties would include reduction and analysis of Hubble Space Telescope images and ultraviolet spectra of Jupiter and Saturn. A student with computing skills is sought, with knowledge of the Unix operating system, Fortran, and IDL desired but not required.

Literature References or articles that may provide more information on the project:

A paper in Science (volume 267, pp. 1296-1301, 1995) illustrates the scientific focus of the work to be performed.
