The Mark 4 waverider was originally a WASP proof-of-concept (i.e.sweepback counteracts anhedral) vehicle. The Mark 4 waverider design is currently used by STAAR Research as a simple test prototype for a hypersonic sail waverider, albeit a crude test vehicle. It is a delta-shaped Caret design with a tailfin. It has been modified from the original WASP mark 4 waverider design, being retrofitted with a large bodyflap to give nose-up pitching 'reflex'
